The Old Trafford outfit have long been linked with a sensational move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and now latest reports in Diario Gol (via Sportskeeda) claim that Manchester United are very close to completing a stunning swoop for the Welsh winger.
The 28-year-old winger has had a tough time this season with injuries and it seems like Madrid president Florentino Perez has finally given permission for Bale to seek out a new challenge next summer.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked, but it is believed that Manchester United are way ahead in the race to secure Bale's signature.
