GOOD NEWS FOR CHELSEA AS PREPARATIONS CONTINUE FOR NEWCASTLE CLASH

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling rather hopeful that their side will be able to secure a win against Newcastle this weekend. The Blues have had a very strong few weeks, with an important win against Swansea City coming on Wednesday. Another win this weekend against Newcastle will help to solidify Chelsea’s position within the top four, and so Antonio Conte will be placing a lot of emphasis on the fixture.
Fortunately, ahead of the game, Antonio Conte and, indeed, Chelsea, have received some very good news. According to the Evening Standard, Antonio Conte will NOT face a touchline ban despite being charged with misconduct. The Italian is instead likely to be given a fine, which will mean he will be able to be on the side of the pitch this weekend when the Blues take on the Magpies.
This is a huge boost for Chelsea, as it was a real concern of the fans in the Transfer Tavern that he might have to sit the next game out. He was, of course, sent to the stands against Swansea after the referee deemed his behaviour inappropriate.
Fortunately, the Italian will instead be able to manage and control the game from the touchlines, which is key for his management style.
Landlord’s Verdict
Antonio Conte is more animated than most on the touchlines, with the Italian constantly barking instructions to his players. It is through this method that he is able to transfer his ideas and tactics, and so if he were not on the side of the pitch, Chelsea could find themselves slightly lost.
Newcastle would certainly have looked to take advantage of that, but fortunately for the Blues, this is not a problem that they will need to contend with.
