The January transfer window is just around the corner and of course speculation is rife about who Chelsea might bring in to strengthen their bid for the Champions League and Premier League titles.
The Blues maybe not be looking to strengthen too many places over the winter window, which is sometimes a tricky time to be able to bring in top quality players and really bolster the squad.
However, there are a couple of areas within the Chelsea camp that the hierarchy probably need to look at before they make moves elsewhere, with some key names still stalling over contract deals.
So what should the Blues be looking to seal during January and what are their hopes for the month ahead?
Thibaut Courtois puts pen to paper
The Chelsea goalkeeper is one of the key players in the club and that means that he has often been looked at by some of the biggest clubs around Europe, especially Real Madrid.
Courtois only has a contract up until the end of the 2018/19 and the Blues have been trying to pin the 25-year-old down to a long-term deal, however Real have been sniffing around and if they don't succeed in signing David De Gea, they could be back in for the Belgian.
