Reports: Shock Clause Included In Messi's New Barca Contract

It has been reported that a shocking clause was included in Lionel Messi's new deal with FC Barcelona.
The Argentine's contract extension at the Catalan club was announced this past weekend, and it is said to have made him, alongside Carlos Tevez, the highest paid player in the world.
Prior to the announcement, there was plenty of speculation around his future, with many believing Messi was considering a move away from the Camp Nou.
According to Diario Gol, the 30-year-old needed many guarantees to keep him at the club, which led to an unusual clause being included in his new contract.
It has been claimed that Messi will now have a say in the club's transfer business regarding both incoming and outgoing players.
Many suspect that the forward has already influenced some of Barca's transfer decisions, although this has been denied.

After Neymar's exit from the club in August, Messi is reportedly concerned the same could happen to his striker partner Luis Suarez.
Messi has played 20 games for the Blaugrana so far this season, scoring 16 goals and setting up a further six strikes.
