Official: Chelsea to refund £200 and ticket fee to fans

Chelsea Football Clubhave reportedly offered compensation to supporters who were delayed on their return trip from Anfield following their 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Saturday.
Despite going home with a point after coming from behind to draw Liverpool on Saturday, the journey home for some Blues supporters was far from enjoyable. The Express report that fans who were on the Thomas Cook Sport shuttle bus to Liverpool South Parkway station were delayed, resulting in them missing their train home.
And the Blues have revealed in an official statement on its website that they are investigating the incident and will be compensating all those affected, including the cost of their ticket.
"Chelsea Football Club would like to
apologise to those supporters who experienced problems returning home from Liverpool via official club transport on Saturday night.
"We are continuing to investigate the issue with our travel partner Thomas Cook Sport, and will be compensating supporters for the inconvenience caused by the late arrival of coaches from Anfield to Liverpool South Parkway station. We will be jointly refunding each supporter who missed the train £200, plus the cost of their match ticket.
"Delays for fans were caused by two of the five coaches from Anfield arriving at the railway station after the scheduled train departure, which we were unable to delay. The club has already received correspondence from some of those
affected, and would welcome further observations. These can be sent to customer.services@chelseafc.com and will be shared with Thomas Cook Sport.
"Supporters looking to claim a refund should call the Thomas Cook Sport team with your card details and booking reference to hand. Unfortunately, automatic refunds are not possible due to PCI regulations.
"Thomas Cook Sport has also recovered all personal effects on board the train, and supporters wishing to retrieve their items can also do so by calling the number above. We will continue to review the process alongside Thomas Cook Sport to ensure these problems are not encountered in future.
"One again, we would like to apologise to all those supporters affected, and thank you for your patience while we have been working on the above arrangements." a club statement reads
The next away trip for Chelsea supporters is to West Ham on December 9 in the Premier League
