Messi is believed to have been left disappointed by the Catalan giants recent attacking signings – with Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer among those who have reportedly left the Argentine underwhelmed.
The £96million summer capture of Ousmane Dembele was met by the approval of Messi, but the Frenchman was dealt an unfortunate injury blow, when he tore his hamstring on his first league start, and is only now nearing a return to action.

Diario Gol claim there are four players that Valverde has lined up, whom he believes would convince Messi to commit his long-term future to the Camp Nou side.
Philippe Coutinho , who was very close to joining in the summer, is one of the players Barcelona will go back in for when the transfer window opens.
Jurgen Klopp will be reluctant to allow one of his star players to leave in the middle of the season, but that won’t stop Barca from attempting to land Coutinho, as they look to link him up with fellow South American, Messi.
